Julia was previously managing director of Drummond Read Recruitment, where she quickly built up a loyal client base amongst Dealers, Auction Houses and Commercial Galleries. She has more than 20 years’ experience overseeing recruitment businesses in niche markets, and has held several senior positions, including CEO at Recruitment Solutions Group.
Julia's experience covers recruitment for permanent, contract and international positions in the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia.
Over a ten-year period, Nina worked in various roles for commercial galleries, a major museum, an art fair, and a fine art shipping company. Then she turned her attentions to the recruitment industry. In 2010, she set up the art division of SCJ Consulting, before launching Art//Work Recruitment, which was devoted to recruitment and head hunting for the art world.
This broad, varied experience gives Nina a deep understanding of the industry and the jobs that make the wheels go round. She knows what clients are after, and is well placed to advise candidates on their careers.
Colin was previously director at Drummond Read Recruitment, and is continuing with the team at DRAW on an advisory basis.
For 15 years, Colin was a senior lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fine Arts Valuation course at Southampton Solent University with specialist subject areas on auctioneering , valuation and professional practice. He is an Associate of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (AREC) and a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Fine Arts).and Registered Valuer.
Colin is involved within various aspects of the industry including valuation work for legal proceedings, probate valuations and broking of Fine art and antiques for private clients and investors.
Colin is extremely well connected in the art world, and has a thorough understanding of the marketplace.
Vania joined Drummond Read as a business developer and database administrator, becoming a consultant in 2015. Before that, she had worked at various national museums, commercial art galleries, and fine art shipping companies.
Originally from Italy, where she completed her BA in Arts Administration, Vania moved to London in 2010 to complete postgraduate Art History degrees at Goldsmiths and UCL. She is a fluent Italian and Spanish speaker.
Vania is now managing junior and mid-level searches, as well as assisting with other placements.
