Digital Co-ordinator – Art Gallery

Job description:

An established and highly respected gallery in central London is looking for a Digital Co-ordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities include:


  • assisting with developing online marketing strategy


  • research innovations in the online selling market and improve the gallery’s performance
  • website development – main contact for Artlogic
  • SEO implementation and monitoring
  • check website daily for sold items, inform external platform of updates as required
  • add new works to website and external platforms
  • update current and upcoming exhibitions on website and external platforms
  • add new exhibition catalogue with purchasing details
  • update news section with artist’s exhibitions, artist’s biographies etc.
  • add articles in press sections
  • general updates on contents and layout


  • produce new content for social media channels and website, i.e. films and photography
  • present weekly plan for daily social media content
  • check analytics
  • assist with press campaigns
  • copy editing


  • process e-shop catalogue purchases (invoice, receipt) and onward shipping


  • keep up to date record of catalogues in storage
  • maintain catalogue stocks in gallery; arrange for catalogues to be brought to gallery as required
  • assemble boxes of catalogues for each art fair
  • keep adequate numbers of catalogues at front desk before and during exhibitions


  • keep track of new stock; organise photography/scanning


  • where appropriate contact supplier for transparencies/digital images
  • transfer image files from CDs to image database
  • colour proof images (Photoshop): print, label and file new photography as required
  • update FileMaker database image
  • maintain photo files of available works and sold works
  • re-file and re-label images of previously sold works re-entered into stock
  • other scanning, printing and emailing of images as required
  • provide colour prints for certificates
  • compile image file of works going to the art fairs
  • apply for permit and book photographer for art fair installation shots


  • gallery invigilation, includes initial client contact in the galleries and by telephone


  • assist with general gallery administration as required
