Job description:

Our client hosts specialist antique dealers with one of the worlds largest and most diverse collections of fine antiques and jewellery for sale, they are looking for an Assistant Manager to help run the building. The building itself is a historic, listed building which comes with it’s own challenges.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operational responsibilities of dealers, incl. renewing licences, fee collections, onboarding new dealers,
  • Property management including dealing with office tenants etc

Office administration

  • Raising purchase orders & submitting to accounts dept. for payment
  • Receiving & sorting daily post for the market & the office
  • Answering office phone & handling retail customer inquiries
  • Liaising with accounts

Adhoc projects

  • New market carpet & lighting project
  • Local building development liaison with contractors re: noise/disruption etc

Business aims

  • Attracting new antique dealers
  • Attracting new retail customers to the market

  • Able to lateral think to achieve solutions
  • Buildings management experience advantageous
  • Interest in Antiques/Jewellery advantageous
  • Good administrative experience
