We are seeking a Content Manager for an artist led gallery in central London. The Content Manager is responsible for the ideation, creation, deployment, management and optimisation of content for the gallery. The Content Manager is responsible for content driven lead acquisition strategies across all marketing channels in collaboration with the Social Media Manager and the Growth Marketing Manager. They concentrate exclusively on the relationship between the brand and the audience, producing fresh, creative and innovative new content against direct business objectives of brand awareness, reach, growth and conversions. They will also support the Curatorial and Research Assistant and Freelance Copywriter in producing written material for the website, promotional and marketing material. They manage the In-house videographer, photographer and content editor and relationships with freelance videographers, photographers and AV support teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Line manage the In-house videographer, photographer and content editor to create imaginative and engaging content for marketing campaigns
- Work with external videographers and photographers for larger events and photography projects (e.g. install shots)
- Work with the marketing agency to develop paid social media and search campaigns
- Write and sign off regular blog posts from the marketing agency to help ensure the SEO strategy works complementary to the paid social and search strategy
- Work with the Curatorial and Research Assistant to write promotional material for exhibitions and projects to be used in invitations and marketing materials
- Work with the Head of Digital to schedule, ideate and create gallery mailouts
- Work alongside the Exhibitions team on the gallery website; making sure individual artist pages and exhibition pages are up to date and accurate
- Work closely with the Growth Marketing Manager to ensure that the gallery’s digital footprint and presence is always optimised, considering the user journey from 3rd party content/social networks to website to conversion (and how we keep them engaged)
- Be responsible for truly understanding the audience groups and their behaviours, wants and needs, and crafting appropriate user journeys for each across website landing pages, email campaigns, and organic and paid social media content.
- Ensure unified messaging and consistent TOV and branding across all marketing and communication

- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when in or out of the gallery
- Greet and be courteous & informative to all visitors when in the gallery spaces
- Answer phones; taking and passing on messages to the relevant member of staff
- Take it upon themselves to ensure that the gallery space is immaculate and free of obstruction
