An arts and cultural communications agency in London is looking for a cultural strategist to join their expanding team.

They are a creative, results-driven communications company that operates a fairly flat structure – this means that they all have responsibility for the company’s success and everyone’s opinions are valued.

Responsibilities of the role include:

High level strategic planning

  • Intelligence and insights gathering that drive brand strategy for clients
  • Translate disparate data into meaningful insights
  • Write/design/produce insight documents and charts
  • Oversee brand positioning workshops, processes and documents
  • Develop compelling storytelling for clients
  • Produce strategy documents that outline recommendations that cover audience consumer segmentation, market research, benchmarking, media strategy, crisis communications et al.
  • Identify new channels and creative opportunities for clients
  • Oversee the timely execution and delivery of client deliverables
  • Ideate content for campaigns and collaborate with partners on the development of content
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and client service support, liaising regularly with account teams to anticipate client needs and deliver added value to clients
  • Monitor level of client service
  • Knowledge transfer training for clients
  • Work with clients to assess issues, develop recommendations and implement business improvement processes
  • Collaborate with clients to identify potential alliances and partnerships

Team Management

  • Brief the team on clients’ strategies and direction
  • Manage members in of junior team delegating appropriate admin
  • Monitor all aspects of your teams work on the accounts. Ensure they are on message
  • Instigate meetings to discuss clients / brainstorming / campaign ideas

New Business

  • Lead on the creation of proposals
  • Actively take responsibility for seeking new business
  • Develop ideas for business development and brand partnerships
  • New business/representing the agency through networking
