A media relations agency in Paris is seeking an experienced candidate with significant agency experience for the post of Deputy Director. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in French and English, have comprehensive knowledge of the world of luxury goods, lifestyle, art and design, in-depth familiarity with media relations, brand strategy and event conception.
The agency is an international luxury and culture strategist, uniquely positioned to create bespoke multi-channel communication and branding solutions for clients from the world of luxury & lifestyle, art, interiors, design, spirits and hospitality
The Deputy Director would report directly to the CEO. Their primary responsibilities would involve assisting the company CEO to develop the agency’s client base and to manage teams across offices. Specifically, those responsibilities would call upon the candidate to:
- manage the teams across the Paris and Milan offices
- handle administrative tasks of the day
- control ongoing activity for each client and manage timely activity reports
- manage performance and daily workflow of teams
- review and finalize daily work-product of team members and keep abreast of client files
- participate in creative meetings and to offer input
- interact with media and influencers
- interface with clients.
The position requires the candidate to supervise the writing and/or translation of press releases and communication materials. It also calls for coordinating activity reports, ensuring rigorous monitoring of commissions, managing budgets and liaising with suppliers and outside service providers, finalising press reviews and coordinating media follow-ups.
The ideal candidate would take part in crucial missions of Business Development, by creating and maintaining relationships with professional prospects and by transforming those contacts into lasting partnerships.
Finally, the ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong writing abilities and the requisite know-how to manage colleagues and associates as a team leader.

- Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures

Communications & PR Activities
- Definition, management and finalisation of effective and efficient branding and communication strategies and PR Activities in line with client’s guidelines to achieve client’s strategic objectives.
- Plan, develop and promote integrated and measurable PR Activities (omni-channel).
- Senior media liaison; work with key editors to ensure prominent placements.
- Handle select key clients.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities for the agency and develop target list
- Actively pursue business development opportunities
- Draft targeted pitches and present pitches to prospects
- Lead company into new service proposals and new sectors of activity
- Act as an Ambassador for the agency at all times.
