Our client, an international art business, is looking for a Gallery Assistant/Registrar for a contract starting from September. The role is part-time (20 hours), spread onto 5 days (i.e. 4 hours each day). Flexible working and home working allowed.
You will be an integral part of a small team overseeing operations for the two locations of the business. You will also manage databases of artworks (Artlogic and Artsy) and facilitate all consignments, loans and donations, as well as coordinating domestic and international shipments for all exhibitions, art fairs, private viewings, installations and acquisitions. Finally, you’ll be responsible for coordinating international travel for staff.
Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s degree, have 2+ years’ experience in a commercial art gallery/museum/ artist studio or an art institution and familiar with domestic and international fine art shipping and logistics. Experience with Artlogic Database and Artsy CMS essential.
