Job description:
Our client, a gallery with a young, international, up-and-coming program is looking for a Gallery Manager to join the growing team in Cologne.
Tasks:
- Managing the daily operations of the gallery (supervision of all current and upcoming shipments, updating artists portfolios, taking care of mailouts, keeping track of the external and internal exhibition schedule, installation schedule, fairs, etc.)
- Liaising with artists and their studios
- Oversee exhibitions as well as art fair applications and organization
- Public Relations
- Basic accounting
Requirements:
- Previous working experience in a gallery
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for Contemporary Art
- Fluent in German and English
- Independent, flexible and detail orientated working ethics
- Open and communicative personality
- IT Knowledge (Mac OS X, MS Office, Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop and other design programs)
- Experience in installing and de-installing exhibitions a plus
