Gallery / Project Manager, Premium Hotel

A premium hotel with exceptional design is looking for a Gallery Manager / Project Manager to manage a new venture in art and related events. The focus is on bringing art into the hotel as well as creating a strong online presence to sell the art. Besides the physical gallery space there will also be an online platform to sell art. The ideal candidate will oversee operations, including exhibition planning, events and sales. This is an exciting opportunity for someone  who is passionate and self-motivated, who enjoys wearing different hats and is determined to push the project ahead as it is still in its starting phase.

Artist Liaison & Exhibitions

• Define and execute a concept for the art space
• Build and maintain relationships with artists
• Coordinate exhibitions

Sales

• Sales and development of a sales strategy for the gallery space and online platform
• Expand client network

Events

• Project management of events in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing

Administration

• Draft and manage consignments with artists
• Oversee logistics and liaise with insurance companies
• Budget and invoice management
• Manage Website content

Requirements

• Very good e-commerce experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent German and English essential, other languages always a plus
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proactive and well organised with the ability to see projects through to completion
• Independent way of working
• Very good project management skills
• Strong interest contemporary art and the local art scene
