Job description:

For our client, a leading international auction house, we are looking for an experienced Head of Press & Communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and publicising the auctions as well as publishing projects. The successful candidate will have several years of relevant experience and be able to work hands on and to turn creative ideas into effective marketing plans and execute integrated communications campaigns.

Primary duties include:
• Management, planning and strategic development of the Marketing & Communication, consisting of the fields of marketing and press and public relations, including online marketing and social media activities, in order to convey goals, mission and values accordingly
• Development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies (digital and print)
• Responsible for the conception, editing and design of all communication materials as well as for the entire press and public relations work
• Interface management and agency control
• Ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and with the highest quality and efficiency.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
• Excellent German and English, both written and spoken
• Experience of managing, devising and implementing effective marketing and PR campaigns (print and digital)
• Creative thinker with an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial approach to producing innovative campaigns
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with a high level of accuracy
• An understanding of the media landscape, an existing network of contacts and the ability to develop new press contacts
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey thoughts clearly and concisely, and in a way that is accessible and engaging to a diverse audience
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise a heavy workload and to work flexibly
• Experience of digital marketing including programmatic advertising, content marketing, SEM, SEO and e-CRM
• High degree of tech literacy – sound knowledge of Mac and Windows based applications
• Relevant experience of analysing statistics and other research findings to inform and develop campaigns
