We are recruiting an Installation Manager to join the growing team at a Fine Art Logistics Company and deliver art handling of on-site projects. The Installation Manager will be responsible for an on site team providing leadership and guidance, acting as a liaison between clients, the Project Managers and Coordinators in the office. They will ensure that health and safety protocol are followed whilst delivering complex technical installation, packing and handling.

The technical team has a wide range of experience and skillset, providing art handling for a  range of projects, including indoor and outdoor sculpture installation, modest to monumental scale in a range of settings, painting, photography and multimedia works across the public and private sector. The Installation Manager would add their knowledge and experience to the team, be willing to pass on their experience to junior technicians and learn from experienced Project Managers.

This role is full time and due to the nature of the work would require someone with flexibility to work the hours necessary in order to complete a project, and also the willing ness to travel.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Art handling, including packing, crating, installation and de-installation with a sensitivity to materials, installation and de-installation of artworks using appropriate equipment, tools and techniques to industry standards.
  • Provide condition/inspection reports for a variety of art objects.
  • Provide exceptional client liaison, building and maintaining client relationships to provide a premium service, whilst handling client information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Work on-site within client premises, ensuring site rules are adhered to and all client property and privacy is respected.
  • Read Risk Assessments & Method Statements written by others and communicate that information to technician team in a clear and concise manner, establishing a strategy and clear roles and responsibilities for each person in on-site team, especially when a more senior staff member is not on site.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles at Mtec warehouse, supporting and contributing to efficiency in the yard and warehouse operations.
  • Effectively communicate between the company management/office-based coordinators and clients.
