Jewellery Specialist, Leading Online Auction

Our client, an online platform for global commerce, is looking for Jewellery Specialists based in the UK. The right candidates will have experience in identifying gemstones and accurately cataloguing and authenticating antique and branded jewellery.  This role offers attractive remuneration and benefits are an attractive part of your total compensation package for the work you do everyday.

Tasks:

• Evaluate jewellery and ensure authenticity
• Perform an inspection to confirm the item’s description and condition are consistent
• Report counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings
• Stay well-versed on current brand trends & developments
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced facility environment
• Achieve quality metrics and productivity goals daily
• Proactively communicate with managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience of jewellery authentication, ideally  FGA, DGA or GIA Qualified
• You are a jewellery expert and have a strong sense of the category
• Analytical and problem-solving skills ability to research and address concerns
• Flexibility with evolving work-flows and responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work autonomously
• Knowledge of standard operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets etc
