Our client, a Creative Production Agency, are looking to recruit a Photography Manager to lead the photography and videography requirements for a client at their onsite Paris studios. The Photography Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the department and senior POC for Photography for our clients in Paris and also other sites around Europe. They will work closely with the Photography Producer to understand and overcome daily issues but also continually look to improve efficiency and quality across the entire process, with a particular focus on the close partnership with image/video editing. Whilst this role is focussed on managing primarily Paris / other European sites operations, the candidate will be required to share process and WOW with their counterparts around the globe to ensure consistency in all of our studios. We are looking for a person who is always facing forward and looking to the future of this rapidly changing and evolving industry. This role will report directly to the Global Business Director, leading a team of 5 full-time employees and multiple freelancers.


  • Liaise with clients, account managers, studio staff and our retouching dept to ensure Photography/ Video deadlines are met in accordance with ‘Shoot on Arrival’ initiative and specific department deadlines
  • Overarching responsibility for scheduling ensuring all items are shot as per Style Guides
  •  Engage with multiple client departments and forge relationships to help us better meet their current and future requirements (Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Specialist Departments)
  • Resource and facilities management, ensuring utilisation of staff, freelance and studios is
  • Collation, analysis and presentation of daily, weekly and monthly reporting across all photographers, studios and sites
  • Build a strong portfolio of preferred freelance photographers and videographers
  • Ensure all levels of photography from basic lot shoots through to creative video requirements are to the highest possible standards
  • Develop a clear, consistent process for the different types of photography and departments
  • Commercially literate and know the value of work
  • Actively search and identify new talent, also develop a training strategy for new members of the team
  • Be part of the onboarding process of any new departments / clients
  • Work closely with the Account Manager, Production Director and Studio Manager to optimise handshakes with Canvas and the Studio
  • Create and continually keep regional style guides up to date with any changes, new
    processes, items or requirements
  • Pinpoint and provide solutions to areas of weakness in the process
  • Provide a more Creative point of view and bespoke production feel to our clients
  • Identify other possible opportunities with Clients where the client can provide a solution

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven industry experience across both photography and video production
  • Strong team management experience with proven ability to motivate and inspire
  • Strong technological experience across lighting, cameras, software
  • Experience in AR and 3D
  • Experience managing high volumes of photography and video in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects/tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines
  • Experience with asset management systems and marketing portals
  • An understanding of colour management and RGB/CMYK workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
