A leading cultural strategic communications and development agency in London is looking for a PR and Marketing Director to join their expanding team.

This role will be for a team player who holds an expert understanding and relationships in traditional and earned media. You will also understand the fast-moving pace at which communications has evolved, to include strategic audience development, digital marketing, strategic partnerships, and patron engagement within the arts. This individual should be passionate, curious, and able with core ability lying within creating tangible results across the media landscape in all its forms.

This person will hold a leading a central role within the business, with an enthusiastic and steering hand to manage core and freelancer team to deliver combined KPIs and ROI.

The successful person will:

  • Have considerable media relations experience, gained within a fast-paced agency-environment and have a strong network of VIP clients
  • Be familiar with all the main social media channels and know how to use them should it be required to upload on behalf of the team or a client (i.e. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest)
  • Would love meeting and harnessing physical and digital relationships with existing and new media content relationships.
  • Holds a wider industry understanding of the creative and visual arts sector, as well as luxury brand
  • Have an ability to ensure that the agency is tapped into all key media across the arts, luxury lifestyle, trends, design, and creative industry press, and understanding of how to flex each area to deliver individual client results. From large scale media spreads with broadsheet arts editors to broadcasts on national news
  • Already holds live and active relationships across all national media and mediums: broadcast, print, podcast and online. External positive and known brand ambassador for the agency, able to attend private views and art events with a view to cross-selling clients to secure a tangible result
  • Proven ability to land significant coverage in mainstream titles such as Financial Times, Guardian, Forbes, Telegraph, BBC, Monocle, The Art Newspaper
  • News addict and able to update team, passionate about what is going on in the world around them
  • Excellent written skills for press releases, an understanding of how the industry is changing and the value of digital materials
  • Understanding of the wider breadth of communications outside of press relations and how traditional PR can be maximised working with owned brand partnerships and external communication tools
  • Financially astute with an idea of how-to bring PR ideas to life, understating how to create experiential content

Reporting directly into the Founder and Project & Operations Director, the PR & Marketing Director will be skilled at developing strong working relationships internally and externally with VIPs, Clients, Corporate Sponsors, Artists, Directors, Curators, Press, PR Teams to fulfill and deliver their specific requirements. You will act as a key player on the team, be invested in the growth and development of the business, proactively offer team and client counsel and management of campaigns that ensure maximum delivery for numerous clients and projects with a focus on tangible output.
