This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity for a confident and organised individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sale room, ensuring the smooth delivery of auctions and exceptional client service throughout the process.
The Sale Room Manager will oversee all aspects of auction preparation and execution from lot cataloguing and display layout to bidder registration, sale administration, and post-sale logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with the specialist team to maintain the highest professional and presentation standards, contributing to the continued growth and success of the business. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all operational aspects of the sale room before, during, and after auctions
- Supervise and support the saleroom and portering team
- Coordinate auction set-up, display, and logistics
- Ensure seamless bidder registration and client communication
- Oversee live and online bidding platforms during sales
- Uphold health and safety standards and ensure smooth sale day execution
- Provide an excellent client experience to vendors, buyers, and visitors alike
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an auction house or similar environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Calm under pressure, with excellent attention to detail
- A team player with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Confident using auction management and online bidding systems
