This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading distributor and dealer in the world of Numismatics (Coins) as a sales and operations associate. On behalf of our client we are looking for a highly motivated self-starter, with a passion for detail, to support in growing distribution and managing the operations of the day to day business. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop highly desirable knowledge and skills in rare coin and bullion trading, auction management and strategy, e-commerce.

As an established business, our client combines expertise in the world of coins with a digital approach to managing inventory and distribution. This has allowed them to grow both reputation and revenues exponentially. They have now opened a new office in Mayfair and are looking to add to the team in order to support their fast-developing business.

 The primary responsibilities of the Numismatic Sales and Operations Associate will include:

  • Running online auctions and providing support to our dealers at coin fairs.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact and providing support for clients.
  • Marketing via social media channels.
  • Management of inventory utilising our stock management system.
  • Shipping orders to clients.

What are we looking for?

  • A self-starter, highly motivated, eager to learn and develop knowledge regarding numismatics.
  • Highly computer literate. Advanced excel skills are preferred.
  • High degree of attention to detail – this is critical for our high stakes business.
  • Excellent communication skills are required as this is a customer facing role.
  • Very strong organisational background perhaps honed through experience as an executive PA or similar.
  • It is not essential that the successful candidate has experience working with auctions; an art investment or luxury markets background would also be suitable.
  • Native level English is essential and marketing experience would be more valuable than experience in the coin world.
  • You should present with confidence that is truly natural and have a strong urge to tackle new challenges and a problem-solving attitude.

The successful candidate will receive a package that comprises of a base salary and a performance related bonus, in addition to a basic pension, 25 days holiday per year, as well as training to gain new skills and expertise in this field.

Interviews will comprise of two stages:

(1) Meeting a director of the firm via Zoom and completing an aptitude test.
