Sales Manager, Contemporary Chinese Art Gallery

A Contemporary Chinese Art Gallery is seeking a Sales Manager to lead sales in a new space opening in central London.

A general overview of responsibilities includes but is not limited to: 

• Provide a first-class consultative service to all clients to create desire and convert to sales
• Build and nurture long term client relationships to create loyalty and sales opportunity
• Engage with and build your client database using CRM to create deep and lasting relationships to create sales and experience opportunities
• Developing and implementing sales strategies
• Lead generation and follow up, pitching to new clients and researching business opportunities
• Nurturing existing clients
• Sufficient reporting and feedback to the director and team

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educated to a degree level.
• A keen interest in Chinese contemporary art is expected, but professional experience from other industries is absolutely welcome
• Proven experience in a gallery environment, preferably in sales
• Experience in customer service.
• Exceptional attention to the details
• The ability to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
• An energy to develop and expand your own skills and grow with the business

• Ambitious and target driven with experience working to and achieving targets/sales figure
• Warm, confident, and outgoing personality that will welcome our clients creating the desire for artwork, making it easy for them to buy
• Intuitive, engaging and creative with the ability to understand the clients preferences and desires to match and convert the sale on their perfect piece of art
• Having and bringing your own collector base is advantageous
• Luxury sales experience
• An art background or passion for art
