Our client is seeking a Sales Operations Executive to join the team at an online auction marketplace. The client operates seven world-leading digital marketplaces facilitating curated online auctions, seamlessly connecting bidders from around the world to trusted auctioneers. A champion of green e-commerce; the client is an entrepreneurial technology business with nearly 350 employees worldwide and headquarters in London. They are looking for diverse, talented, and bright minds to join them.   

Responsibilities

  • Gather data to output calendars of upcoming art and antiques auctions and fairs for publishing each week and online. Liaise with the production team and check page proofs.
  • Maintain regular contact with 1000+ auctioneers, fair organisers and other contacts in the UK and worldwide to source the data.
  • Assist in the management of fairs advertising, both print and online and communicate with advertising clients.
  • Ensure any further leads or opportunities are passed to the correct person within the sales teams for action.
  • Maintain directory databases of dealers, antiques centres and trade service suppliers.
  • Provide call-lists for auction advertising sales teams.

Keys Skills/Experience:

  • This role is largely data collection by phone, email and internet and subsequent data entry and checking, along with advertising sales support for the Sales Manager
  • A highly organised individual who enjoys gathering information, pays attention to detail and consistently delivers work to a high degree of accuracy
  • Good all-round IT skills – knowledge of working on Microsoft Word, Excel and database packages as well as sourcing information from a variety of websites
  • The ability to work at a fast pace and with the minimum of supervision
  • A strong written and verbal communicator who enjoys telephone contact with clients and the satisfaction of bringing together in one place a unique set of information valued highly by thousands of market professionals
