Sales / Scandinavia, Contemporary Gallery

An established gallery for contemporary art in Berlin, is looking for a Sales member to join their team with a focus on the Scandinavian market. The ideal candidate is responsible for actively selling artworks and will be working as independently as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Attend selected art fairs and traveling selectively and worldwide to collectors and institutional exhibitions of gallery artists (including biennials)
• Liaise with gallery owners and other team leaders

Requirements:

• Must be resident in Berlin or relocate to Berlin. Alternatively, may be resident in Scandinavia if in Berlin regularly (once a month) in order to be “anchored” and to have personal exchanges with the sales/general team
• Several years’ experience in the art market at a high international level
• Broad and international base of contacts to collectors and beyond
• Strategic way of thinking and working
• Alignment with the gallery’s vision
• Excellent written and spoken German and English; Excellent written and spoken German and English, as well as one Scandinavian language. More than one Scandinavian language is preferable
• Regular support of the gallery exhibitions (including Saturdays)
• Option to be Employed or Self-Employed, depending on Berlin residence
