Job description:

Our client is a leading media and events company. They are looking for an experienced Senior Media Sales person to identify, develop and secure new partnerships across their portfolio of publishing titles, digital platforms from the gallery and museum sector. The role will be based in Berlin.

Profile:

The ideal candidate would have a strong interest and knowledge of contemporary art and proven sales experience in a related environment is essential. The candidate will need to be highly motivated with exceptional communication skills and used to working independently on a diverse range of tasks. International travel will be required.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead advertising sales in mainland Europe
  • Develop sales from the art sector for the in-house production agency
  • Manage existing and develop new contract advertisers
  • Represent the company at art events building new relationships
  • Organizing and hosting client and public-facing events in Europe and elsewhere
  • Contribute to social media channels and advise on marketing and distribution requirements in the region
  • Maintain and update the customer database as required
  • You will report to the Commercial Director and will work with both the Publisher, Commercial Director and Editorial team on strategy for the company in mainland Europe
  • Carry out any other assignments as required

Required Experience

  • An interest and knowledge of art and culture
  • A proven track record of success in sales in the art/media market
