Storage Manager, International Gallery

Our client, an internationally renowned gallery in Berlin, is looking for a Storage Manager / Art Handler to join their busy team.

Tasks:

General

• Manage the storage of artworks
• Manage and update the database entries (Artlogic)
• Organise annual inventory
• Time management of weekly and daily tasks
• Communicate regular updates

Storage

• Regular check-ups on the storage condition
• Manage warehouse deliveries and pick-ups; condition reporting
• Prepare for transports (sales, art fairs, loans)
• Coordination of regular cleaning
• Responsible for providing and reviewing works for art fairs
• Coordinate photography
• Manage and maintain tools and material stocks

Other

• Organising and executing inner-city art transportation
• Occasionally assisting with installations, art handling and art fairs

Requirements:

• Knowledge and previous work experience in storage management, ideally in a gallery
• Very independent and flexible
• Structured, organised and can set priorities in a dynamic environment
• Conscientious and reliable work ethic
• Very good communication skills in German and English
• Confident user of MacOS
• Very good knowledge of Artlogic is advantageous
• Driving license
