  • Play an active role in merchandising the store, ensuring that art selection is consistently aligned to merchandising guidelines
  • Co-ordinating with e-commerce and administrative teams to provide a seamless customer experience, ordering weekly from manufacturing and logistics partners
  • Develop strong knowledge of the brand and artwork selection, including key information about the artists and the unique story behind each artwork, liaising with artists on the narrative behind their works and store visits/exhibitions
  • Welcome customers and offer friendly, educational customer service, interact closely with customers to understand where they are at in their art-buying journey
  • Delight customers by identifying artworks that match their tastes and needs

  • Prepare and wrap artwork for collection and / or shipping
  • Keep sales records, customer records, and stock records up to date
  • Accept and check deliveries, hang new artwork, and prepare accompanying merchandising materials (e.g., display cards)
  • Prepare for in-store events and interact with customers at these events
  • Ensure that the store is kept clean and tidy to maintain the highest retail standards
  • During quieter times, support in answering customer e-mail/text/chat enquiries with the support of the wider team, and report back findings

The ideal candidate has:

  • Empathy with young art buyers – you recognize that customers might not feel at home in the art world
  • Physical ability to move and hang artwork
  • Nice to have: experience with Shopify Point-of-Sale

This role is full time, working 5 days over a 7-day working pattern. For the right candidate, flexibility and a fixed weekly rota is possible. Weekend work is essential.
