Job description:

Our client, a busy and leading regional auction house, is seeking a candidate for a 12-month contract as Valuations Administrator. The successful candidate will assist the valuations team in managing potential consignments, including appointments and paperwork, ensuring clients receive a high level of service from initial contact to completion.

Key responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for valuations enquiries, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Gather initial information required to discuss with the Head of Valuations the appropriate action required, including capturing the source of clients for reporting purposes.
  • Organising valuation visits and co-ordinating with valuers’ diaries.
  • Liaising with valuers to ensure efficient and accurate inputting of valuations.
  • Track/manage the progress from beginning to end, ensuring deadlines are met and paperwork is proofread and of a high standard.
  • Ensure timely issue and payment of both client and external consultant invoices.
  • Support colleagues with the management/delivery of specialist/large valuations as necessary.
  • Providing support to auction administration team where needed e.g. answering telephones, reception cover, online/telephone bidding on auction days.

Key skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and the ability to be a team player.
