At D.R.A.W we’ve listened to the needs of our clients and candidates, tailoring our services to reflect this and our expertise in the Arts Recruitment world. We’re pleased to say our team has recently expanded, enabling us to launch an office in Berlin to cater for the the German speaking areas of Europe, a Temporary Recruitment division, as well as HR Services to clients.


Permanent Recruitment

Hiring a permanent member of staff is a big decision for many organisations, finding just the right person to complement your business and team structure can seem a massive task, and that’s without the time it takes to advertise, receive applications, sift through candidates, arrange interviews and eventually make that offer. At D.R.A.W Recruitment finding the right permanent staff is our key strength, we have placed hundreds of candidates in roles at all levels within the art industry and there’s no fee unless we fill your vacancy.

Our mission is to find the perfect fit, not only for the client, but for the candidate we’re putting forward too. We take the time to really get to know our clients and have built up our database of the most skilled individuals in the arts industry. Before we start the search we will take a detailed job description . If you do not have a job description, or you have not put one together before, we can help create one for your review and approval.

We use multiple channels to source the best talent in the industry. We have an extensive database built up over more than 15 years of networking and meeting art world professionals worldwide. We also have access to other on-line networks, social channels and media advertising partnerships that we can utilise to widen our reach.

All eligible candidates are interviewed by one of our team members to explore their background, competencies and interest in the role. We will only send you profiles of candidates who we have met and who we feel meet the brief.

We can take up references, or provide you with details of referees in line with your referencing policy. Our team is experienced in the mediation of job offers and assist clients and candidates to reach a conclusion that works for all parties.


Temporary/Contract Recruitment

The option to hire a Temporary Worker, Contractor or Freelancer provides many advantages to businesses, as well as candidates with the specific expertise required for the job. Some of the key reasons are:

  • Fast hires can make an immediate difference. If a member of staff has departed suddenly, you find you are overstretched in the lead up to a busy period this is a great solution to fill the gap quickly.
  • Many Temporary Workers, Contractors or Freelancers have specialist skill sets and can easily provide expertise needed for ad-hoc projects.
  • Recruiting is straightforward and cost-effective as we have an excellent database of candidates to draw from.
  • There’s a chance a Temporary Worker, Contractor or Freelancer might turn into a permanent hire after adding a huge amount of value to your organisation. The benefit is you’ll already have seen how well they work within your team structure, if they’re a good fit and if they have the critical skills needed for the role.

An added bonus is that at D.R.A.W we make sure that our contracts are up to date with all current legislation, we payroll temporary staff and take care of statutory deductions, thereby staying compliant with the Agency Workers Regulations 2010. As well as making all the standard compliance checks such as Right to Work and ID checks, we can take care of any other checks that are specific to your business such as referencing.


Executive Search

Based on clients’ specific criteria, we offer a discreet and highly effective global executive search service for director level and specialised roles.

We take a very structured approach, from an initial client briefing where one of our directors will meet with you to outline the search requirements, timelines, future organisational strategy and mission, and get an understanding of your culture. We then take steps in market analysis, candidate profiling, talent mapping and assessment of the candidate shortlist. We can take up references, and we’re experienced in the mediation of job offers and negotiations, reaching a conclusion that works for all parties. We don’t stop there, we can work in collaboration with you to assist your new hire to integrate into the business successfully.

An executive search would typically cover a 12 week process. As the Art Market is relatively small we do ask for a period of exclusivity for an Executive Search.


HR Services

Many of our clients are small and medium sized businesses who do not have the time, or available resource to effectively take care of their HR needs. We are often asked for help with contractual and legal matters, relating to employment. Our HR Services have been launched in response to client demand, to complement all other services we offer.

We have designed our services to be flexible, tailored to fit your business needs and cost-effective. This could be on a short-term basis, by project or simply to fulfil your ad-hoc requirements throughout the year.

The types of services required for HR issues/problems could be:

  • Acquiring your first employee and needing a contract/staff handbook
  • You may need a refresher on how to manage an employee within the workspace with:
    • Sickness absence
    • Statutory leave
    • Pension requirements
    • Disciplinary procedures
  • We can also advise you on making your business GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) employee compliant since the change in data regulations on 25 May 2018.

We take a practical approach and can provide whatever level of support you require. This may include discussing options and strategies in any situation, outlining appropriate procedures, drafting documentation and correspondence; or even attending meetings with employees to help manage to help manage difficult or sensitive issues.

Support can be provided via telephone, email or in person.

To achieve this protection and flexibility you need to start with making sure you have the right HR documentation (including contracts and an HR handbook) in place – this will reduce problems and allow them to be dealt with quickly and amicably.

We offer the following services at an affordable fixed fee to get you started:

  • Contract, Staff Handbook, employment overview package (includes 2-hour employer overview)
  • Refresher HR package (review contract, staff handbook and policies to ensure they are up to date and GDPR compliant)

For a larger organisation, you may want a more proactive service where we can help with job descriptions, performance measurement and helping to design and implement an appraisal scheme.

In addition to these services, we can assist on an hourly/daily rate basis to support you with your HR requirements.
