Julia was previously Managing Director of Drummond Read Recruitment, where she quickly built up a loyal client base amongst Dealers, Auction Houses and Commercial Galleries. She has more than 20 years’ experience overseeing recruitment businesses in niche markets, and has held several senior positions, including CEO at Recruitment Solutions Group.
Julia's experience covers recruitment for permanent, contract and international positions in the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia.
Over a ten-year period, Nina worked in various roles for commercial galleries, a major museum, an art fair, and a fine art shipping company. Then she turned her attentions to the recruitment industry. In 2010, she set up the art division of SCJ Consulting, before launching Art//Work Recruitment, which was devoted to recruitment and head hunting for the art world.
This broad, varied experience gives Nina a deep understanding of the industry and the jobs that make the wheels go round.
Vania joined the team as a business developer and database administrator, becoming a consultant in 2015. Previously, she had worked at various national museums, commercial art galleries, and fine art shipping companies.
Originally from Italy, where she gained her BA in Arts Administration, Vania moved to London in 2010 to complete postgraduate Art History degrees at Goldsmiths and UCL. Vania is fluent in Italian and Spanish.
Vania is now managing junior and mid-level searches, as well as assisting with other placements.
Kate has over 10 years of experience working for a leading fine art shipping company, coordinating shipping and logistics for art fairs, contemporary galleries and national museum exhibitions.
Previously Kate has worked for a blue chip contemporary gallery and as Fair Manager for one of the most successful and internationally recognised art fairs.
Kate’s focus at D.R.A.W Recruitment is on art shipping, registrarial and art fair roles, both in the UK and internationally.
Maria has worked within Human Resources for nearly twenty years. She started her career working within HR in the the financial services industry and then moved to work for a variety of fast growing SME organisations in Head of HR roles. She has a breadth of experience within strategic HR, employment law, performance management, reward and development.
Maria looks after our clients with all their HR needs; from drafting contracts for new hires and providing HR handbooks,to advising clients about legal obligations within the work environment. She helps to simplify HR and protect businesses.
When not working with DRAW, Maria works as a HR Consultant for small businesses and volunteers within schools to support children with career choices as an Enterprise Advisor.
Lisa has been working in the international art world for almost 20 years. As a Managing Director for an international art gallery in Berlin for more than 8 years, she gained comprehensive knowledge of the complex aspects of running and setting up a gallery space. Lisa had the great pleasure of working closely with some of the most exciting artists and liaising with museums and private collections worldwide. As Lisa started to pursue a keen interest in developing people and businesses, she broadened her expertise and completed an advanced academic training in strategic personnel management to focus on the principal and operational aspects of the art business. Joining D.R.A.W Recruitment as a General Manager in 2018, a market-leading Recruitment Agency specialising in Art Jobs. Lisa is working on developing the business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Emma has recently completed her MA in the Art Market and History of Collecting and supports the D.R.A.W team in her role as administrator. Previously, Emma worked at the Royal Academy of Arts and had completed various intern and volunteering positions within the arts.
