We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing auction house in the home counties that is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and client-focused Jewellery Valuer to join its specialist team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for fine jewellery, watches and silver who enjoys working directly with clients, providing expert valuation advice and helping to secure important consignments for auction.

The Role
This is a varied position where you’ll combine specialist jewellery knowledge with excellent customer service and commercial awareness. Responsibilities will include:
- Meeting clients and providing professional valuation advice.
- Carrying out auction, probate and insurance valuations.
- Securing consignments for auction.
- Handling jewellery, watches and silver with care and professionalism.
- Recording valuation and stock information accurately using auction management systems.
- Attending off-site valuation appointments when required.
- Working closely with an experienced team of jewellery specialists.
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have experience within an auction house, jewellery retail, luxury goods, pawnbroking or valuation environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong knowledge of jewellery, watches and/or silver.
- Professional qualifications such as FGA, DGA, GIA, or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A professional, organised and commercially minded approach.
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Previous auction house experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
