Our client, a leading regional auction house, is seeking an experienced Senior Fine Interiors Specialist to join its established Fine Interiors Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded specialist with a strong background in furniture, works of art and decorative arts to play a key role in the leadership and continued growth of a successful department. Working closely with the Head of Department, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of specialist Fine Interiors sales while supporting business development and the acquisition of important consignments.
The role includes researching, valuing and cataloguing a broad range of furniture and works of art, producing condition reports and catalogue entries, managing client relationships, undertaking valuation appointments, supporting auction days, and mentoring junior colleagues. The successful candidate will also play an active role in securing new business and helping to grow the department through exceptional client service.
Applicants should have a number of years experience within an auction house or fine art environment, excellent knowledge of Fine Interiors, strong commercial awareness, and a proven track record of business getting and client relationship management. An existing network of collectors, dealers and industry contacts would be advantageous.
