An established commercial gallery in London is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Associate to play a central role in their Marketing & Communications team, leading on the gallery’s digital marketing strategy, analytics, and email marketing programme.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications, the role sits in collaboration with the Communications and Content Associate, with a clear division of responsibilities: the Digital Marketing Associate leads on the data and strategy layer — using analytics to inform what content should be produced, evaluating its performance once published, and embedding tracking and measurement throughout the gallery’s digital activity.
The role also works closely with the Director of Business Development and the Sales team to support client development goals through data-led marketing and audience segmentation. This is a full-time role, based from the London gallery.
Primary responsibilities include:
Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
- Own the gallery’s digital analytics framework, including the management and ongoing development of UTM tracking systems and campaign tagging across all digital channels
- Set up and manage events tracking on the website, including e-commerce tracking, to ensure accurate and comprehensive data capture
- Produce regular reports on website traffic, audience behaviour, social media performance, and email marketing metrics, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Use web traffic and engagement data to advise the Communications and Content Associate and wider team on what content to prioritise, which formats are performing, and where opportunities exist
- Evaluate the success of campaigns and content after publication, feeding findings back into future planning and strategy, including regular reporting to the MarComms team
- Manage Google Analytics, Google Business, and other relevant digital listings, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Continually evolve the gallery’s digital measurement approach and recommend tools or solutions that advance the gallery’s marketing goals
SEO & Lead Generation
- Lead SEO strategy for the gallery website, conducting keyword research and iterating keyword targeting over time in response to performance data
- Work with the development team and Director of Business Development to implement on-page SEO best practices across the site, including as part of the rebrand website migration
- Apply lead generation tools and audience development strategies to drive new visitors to the gallery website
- Develop audience segmentation strategies based on user website behaviour to support targeted marketing and client development
Email Marketing
- Build, manage, and optimise the gallery’s email marketing programme, including campaign design using HTML, scheduling, and performance analysis
- Design and maintain email templates for the rebrand, using HTML skills to ensure brand consistency and visual quality
- Build mailers in Pardot cross-departmentally and advise on trackable links, best use of content, feedback from click-throughs, etc.
- Develop and implement email automation journeys for website visitors based on their on-site behaviour
- Manage audience segmentation within Pardot, maintaining clean and up-to-date contact lists and campaign groups
- Monitor and report on email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, using findings to continuously improve the programme
Social Media Strategy & Paid Social
- Co-manage the social media calendar alongside the Communications and Content Associate, the Digital Marketing Associate leads on strategy, scheduling, and performance analysis; the Communications and Content Associate leads on content creation and visual direction
- Develop and implement a paid social strategy across relevant platforms, including campaign setup, audience targeting, budget management, and reporting
- Monitor social media performance across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant channels, producing regular analysis and recommendations to inform content strategy
- Assist with the design and editing of social media assets, including Instagram Stories and reels, supporting the Communications and Content Associate and Content Director with video content where relevant
CRM & Client Development Support
- Work with the Director of Business Development to mine business intelligence in Salesforce, focusing client outreach and measuring the results of each campaign
- Assist in data management and tracking in Salesforce to support client development projects and goals
- Use audience data and segmentation to support targeted outreach strategies in collaboration with the Sales team
Website
- Work with the Communications and Content Associate on website updates where a data or technical input is required, ensuring the two roles complement rather than duplicate each other
Requirements:
- Experience in digital marketing, analytics, or a related field, ideally within the arts or a creative industry
- Demonstrable experience in analytics platforms, UTM tracking, and digital reporting, with the ability to translate data into clear strategic recommendations
- Experience with email marketing platforms and HTML email design
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience managing keyword strategy
- Experience with paid social advertising, including campaign setup and optimisation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, After Effects) for social asset design and video editing
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, or other CRM tools
- Incredibly organised and hardworking, with a proactive and positive attitude
- Willing to be managed from New York, noting the time difference, and to work closely with the MarComms team globally
- Ability to work well with multiple teams, as well as independently
- Willing to work outside of regular office hours (e.g. for global meetings, events, and urgent enquiries)
- Ability to independently manage time, prioritise workflow, and meet deadlines
