Our client has an opening for a maternity cover Jewellery Specialist based in Oxford. The role would be 3 days per week. The role will involve shared responsibility for the running twice-yearly Jewellery, Watches & Silver sales, and the annual Collective timed sale.
• Valuations for sale and probate purposes, both in-house and externally
• Responsibility for securing new business and sourcing consignments for sale
• Able to produce accurate catalogue descriptions and condition reports
• Preparation of online and printed catalogues, working with our graphic designer, photographer and printing team to agreed deadlines
• Creation of adverts, digital marketing and social media, working alongside the graphic designer and photographer
About You
• Auction experience essential
• Ideally FGA or GG qualified (DGA would also be an advantage, but not essential)
• A confident business getter with excellent client communication and customer service skills
• An excellent eye for detail
• Be able to set and work to deadlines
• Auctioneering experience would be desirable but not essential #
• Hold a full clean driving licence
Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm, 3 days per week (with additional occasional Saturday mornings for sale viewing).
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
