An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, commercially minded and responsible individual to join a well-established and highly regarded arts charity as its Head of Finance & Operations.
Working closely with the Director and as a key member of the Leadership Team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the organisation is well positioned to support artists and engage audiences through an inspiring programme of artistic and community initiatives.
As part of the Leadership Team, alongside the Director and Development Director, you will help deliver the organisation’s business plan and strategic objectives. The role has broad responsibility for financial management and planning, reporting and evaluation, HR, operational management, building and office management, and visitor services.

About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- A recognised accounting qualification, or be part-qualified, with proven experience in organisational financial management, including the preparation of management and statutory accounts.
- Previous senior management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and manage staff effectively.
- Strong operational management experience, with the ability to implement systems and manage planning, budgeting and organisational processes.
- Experience working within the museum, gallery, arts, cultural or charitable sector.
- Experience developing and implementing organisational policies and procedures.
- A practical understanding of building management and maintenance.
- Knowledge of arts funding, together with experience of financial monitoring and reporting against funding agreements.
- Experience contributing to business planning and implementing organisational strategy at a senior level.
